Endoprosthesis of the shoulder joint

Restore the ability to freely raise your arm, exercise, and get rid of debilitating night pain forever. We use innovative anatomical and reversible systems from world industry leaders.

Symptoms of problems with the shoulder joint (Omarthrosis / Cuff injuries)

Shoulder pain is often ignored as temporary until it becomes unbearable. “If you notice at least 2-3 symptoms from the list below, your joint needs urgent diagnosis to avoid complete loss of mobility and muscle atrophy

  • Laboratory screening: Assessment of the general state of health to ensure complete safety of anesthesia.
  • Preoperative marking: Joint discussion with the doctor of the scope of the intervention and the expected results.
  • Critical amplitude limit: You cannot raise your arm above shoulder level or bring it behind your back.
  • Pain during self-care: It becomes difficult to comb your hair, get dressed, or get something off the top shelf.
  • Inability to sleep on the side: Characteristic nocturnal pain in the shoulder, which exhausts the nervous system and is not relieved by conventional medicines.
  • Weakness and “naughty” hand: The feeling that the hand has lost strength and you cannot hold even a light cup.
  • Dry friction and crunch: During movements, a distinct “creaking” of the bones is felt, the joint often “jams”.

If you notice at least 2-3 symptoms from the list, your joint needs immediate diagnosis to avoid complete loss of mobility

Technologies: Anatomical precision and premium implants

The success of the operation depends on the correct choice of design. We select the type of prosthesis individually, based on the condition of your muscles and bone tissue:

  • Anatomic endoprosthesis: If your muscles and tendons are preserved, we completely reproduce the natural anatomy of your joint.
  • Reversible endoprosthesis: A unique solution for complex cases and massive tendon ruptures. We change the biomechanics of the shoulder so that the function of raising the arm is taken over by the deltoid muscle.
  • World brands: We use premium-class prostheses: Lima (Italy), Zimmer Biomet or Stryker (USA).
About the Doctor: Philosophy of functional surgery

The shoulder is the most mobile joint in our body, and my philosophy as a surgeon is not simply to replace the joint mechanically, but to fully restore its complex biomechanics. My job is to restore your range of motion so that you can once again enjoy your favorite hobby, whether it’s tennis, gardening or active recreation, without the restrictions. We work delicately, through minimally invasive approaches, preserving every tendon and muscle, because I am convinced: a successful operation is when the patient regains confidence in every movement of his hand

Safety protocol: Your preparation for the result
  • Complex analyzes (7 days): Comprehensive blood screening, coagulation and sugar control for ideal tissue healing.
  • Heart and blood vessels: ECG and ultrasound of the veins of the lower extremities (dopplerography) for safe anesthesia and prevention of thrombosis.
  • Treatment of infections: Mandatory examination by a dentist and an ENT doctor. We need to remove any underlying inflammation to protect your new implant.
  • Correction of therapy: In 5-7 days, we stop taking blood thinners under my personal supervision.
Operation: Delicate work and modern methods
  • Minimally invasive deltopectoral approach: Allows us to access the joint by pushing the muscles apart rather than cutting them.
  • Precision setting: The use of high-precision instruments allows you to set the ideal angle of inclination of the implant for maximum amplitude of movements and longevity of the prosthesis
Rehabilitation: My accompaniment to the full strength of your hand

I am personally responsible for keeping your new shoulder flexible and your arm docile and strong, so my control does not end in the operating room. We begin passive development of the joint the day after the intervention to avoid stiffness, while I personally teach the rehabilitation team how to delicately “start” the joint without undue stress on the implant. I develop an individualized step-by-step exercise protocol for you—from simple movements to full overhead lifts—and adjust this plan at each stage of recovery. My goal as a doctor is to be your mentor until you are able to do all your usual activities independently and without pain, feeling the full stability and strength of your shoulder

FAQ: Briefly about the main thing
  • Will I be able to raise my arm above my head? Yes, the main goal of surgery and rehabilitation is to restore your ability to use your arm freely, including lifting above horizontal level.
  • How long does a full recovery take? The main healing phase lasts 6–12 weeks, and full recovery of muscle strength usually takes up to 6 months.
  • Is it possible to operate after old injuries and failed operations? Yes, reconstruction of the shoulder after chronic injuries is one of the specialized areas of my activity.
