Description of the problem: When the pain is unbearable
A patient with a diagnosis of “grade IV coxarthrosis” (terminal stage of hip joint arthrosis) came to us. It is a condition in which the articular cartilage is completely destroyed and bone rubs against bone, causing excruciating pain. The patient had pronounced lameness, significant shortening of the limb and critical limitation of movements. Conservative methods (injections, tablets) have long been ineffective. Every step was taken with great effort.
Solution: Total endoprosthesis according to modern standards
The only way to return the patient to a full life was to replace the destroyed joint. We performed a total hip arthroplasty using a modern implant with a high level of survival. The operation was performed using minimally traumatic techniques that minimize muscle damage and blood loss. This is a key factor for a quick recovery.
Result: Verticalization on the first day and condition on the 3rd day
We follow Fast Track protocols. The patient was raised on his feet already a few hours after the operation was completed.
